Rug Art NYC’s Odd Shape Collection explores the expressive power of silhouette. Sweeping curves, unexpected angles, and freeform contours give each design a sculptural presence, shaping the space around it as much as the floor beneath it.
Hand-knotted in fine wool, silk and other fine fibers, these rugs bring outline and surface into dialogue. Dimensional textures and considered color compositions follow, accentuate, or play against the edges, giving each piece its own artistic identity.
Every rug is custom-made, with shape, scale, palette, and texture developed in relation to the interior. The result is a distinctive composition that connects furniture, architecture, and open space with intention and a sense of possibility.
